Are schools different? Does education really change between institutes? At OOTS we know it does and The Newcastle-Hunter Diocese of the Catholic Schools Office approached us to develop an integrated marketing campaign to celebrate the diversity of their educational offering and strong sense of community. The campaign needed to work from kindergarten to HSC years and across the numerous sites of their schools.
WHAT DID WE DO?
Stop, collaborate and listen is not just an OOTS value, it’s a great place to start when developing strategies. After a thorough briefing from the client, OOTS developed creative territories that answered the brief and became the basis of an open collaboration with the client. The creative territories were expanded upon with the final territory School + So Much More chosen for its relevance, versatility and point of difference.
Vibrant colours and energetic imagery produced stand-out creative with a simple, empowering message. Working with OOTS, the Catholic Schools Office interviewed parents and students to find stories to showcase.
The result was a series of videos, photography and storytelling that captured the benefits parents saw in their children’s educational and personal development. The stories encapsulated areas such as advanced learning, social and community support, unique learning environments, and technology. Each of these topics brought to life the notion of “school + so much more”.
The “School + So Much More” platform has been expanded by the Newcastle-Hunter Catholic Schools Office by their own internal marketing team and continues to be applied to in-school signage, video content and radio. The results show that collaboration + strategy creates results plus so much more!
