Singing animals, smiling families
When you’ve got little ones to entertain, you’re always on the hunt for the next fun day out. Our job? Make sure Australian Reptile Park was top of the list. To do that, we needed to create attention-grabbing 15” and 30” TVCs that worked across traditional TV, CTV and digital, and make sure they were seen, heard, and remembered.
Ploddy the Dinosaur is a local icon, with huge brand recognition for Australian Reptile Park. The towering figure can be spotted from the highway, so we brought Ploddy to life with a distinctive new soundtrack built around the playful line: “Come and see what the Dino saw.”
This catchy jingle was designed to stick in the minds of both kids and parents, a singable phrase that would spark curiosity and smiles – impossible not to sing along to (trust us, we tried).
To add another layer of charm and memorability, we let the animals do the singing. From Hugo the tortoise’s deep timbre to the soft tones of a young koala, the flamboyant frilled-neck lizard, and of course, Ploddy all had a part to play. This creative twist made the animals feel more relatable, and reinforced the interactive spirit of the park.
We produced a range of video and radio assets, all built around the same unforgettable tune. Each version could be easily adapted with different voiceovers or messaging, perfect for events, promos or general brand love. The result not only looked and sounded great, but firmly cemented Ploddy and friends at Australian Reptile Park in the hearts and minds of families planning their next adventure.
